lyrics

So absurd are life's obscurities.
Ever meant to be out of reach.
Still we turn our heads to the stars.
And try as we might we only reach so far.

Oh, creator, if you're out there.
Please show signs that you still care.
It seems, your people wonder where
They are in this world, in this life,
They face the fears of being here
Oh, creator, if you're out there.

The billions of people who call this place their home.
Unique in every way their own.
Above us all we share the sky,
The oceans and mountains far and wide.

Oh, creator, if you're out there.
Please show signs that you still care.
It seems, your people wonder where
They are in this world, in this life,
They face the fears of being here
Oh, creator, if you're out there.

You never stopped to wonder why--
Ever warring and taking lives--
What this world would want to be,
If the given life had spoke for the trees.
A struggle just to sleep at night,
With hungry children and fading lights.
Turn your backs with passive greed--
or help those all who are in need.
Oh, Creator we're left in doubt,
Haven't yet to figure it out.
An eye for an eye for a thousand lives,
Seen the hatred countless times.
Yet still we'll try, to get it right,
We won't give up and still we'll fight.
The earth is once the place we call home,
So let us fix the world we know.

about

Disasterland Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin

Disasterland is hard to nail down to a specific genre because of it’s interesting fusion of varying influences.
The three piece band from Wisconsin incorporates bluesy-guitar riffs, silky smooth jazz-esque bass, thundering punk drums and a growling poetic vocalist melding into an almost progressive alternative rock. The dark concepts and cryptic writing leaves much to speculation.
